Types of Work

Working for Bay Resourcing Teaching Agency gives you four styles of work to choose from.

Daily Supply

The most flexible option is to look for work on a daily basis, covering teachers as they are absent from school due to illness or training commitments. Daily work gives you the opportunity to work in a variety of locations, enabling you to gain a taste of what a school or year group is like before committing to a more long-term appointment.

Short-Term Supply

An extension of daily supply, short-term work can run to up to half a term and allows you to gain greater insight into the roles and responsibilities of permanent staff members. Short-term workers need to take on a greater degree of responsibility for planning than a daily worker and working in this way is an excellent route for less experienced teachers and support workers who want to get a taste of school life.

Long-Term Supply

Working in a post for half a term or longer, long-term supply allows you to take the full responsibilities of a permanent member of staff. Long-term teachers are required to make a greater contribution to curriculum planning and the life of the school at large.

Permanent Work

Often Bay Resourcing Teaching Agency registered teachers working on a long-term basis covering a permanent vacancy will be offered a contract by the school. Alternatively some schools will appoint Bay Resourcing Teaching Agency to recruit permanent staff directly on their behalf.

When you decide which style of work is right for you, your education consultant will begin to seek out the vacancies which provide the best match for your skills, experience and location.
